My Client is seeking a Compliance Lawyer to join an innovative Compliance Department. This role is ideal for a technically minded individual with strong property experience, who is looking for a non-fee earning and non-client facing position. The successful candidate will be involved in reviewing and processing high volume, time-critical payments and providing technical legal assistance.
Day to Day of the role:
• Review legal title documentation for the purpose of reviewing payment requests.
• Work with the compliance team to provide technical legal assistance.
• Provide assistance to the COLP (Compliance Officer for Legal Practice) and COFA (Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Qualified lawyer – solicitor, legal executive, licensed conveyancer (desirable).
• Proven experience in property matters.
• Understanding of AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and SRA (Solicitors Regulation Authority) regulatory requirements, including the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
• Ability to work well under pressure and with others.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Effective time management skills.
• Flexibility to manage a workload that can differ greatly from day to day.
• Ability to turn around work at a fast pace.
