Key Responsibilities
As Commercial Financial Controller you will be responsible for the following:
- Financial Leadership: Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management, contributing to key business decisions and ensuring financial objectives align with overall organizational goals.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish financial targets. Conduct regular forecasting and variance analysis to support effective decision-making.
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights, support decision-making, and drive business performance.
- Financial Analysis: Oversee and deliver performance analysis to the senior leadership team of the business, including but limited to margins, variances, KPI metrics etc.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to optimize liquidity and support operational needs. Implement effective working capital management strategies.
- Risk Management: Identify financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies. Stay abreast of industry trends and changes in economic conditions that may impact the organization.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Key Requirements
The succesful candidate for this Commercial Financial Controller postion will possess the follwoing:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience in a leadership role with responsibilities in both commercial finance and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelors degree in accountancy, economics or business.
