JasperRose is partnering with the charitable foundation of a global consumer business that is looking to hire a Commercial Finance Manager, based in their global headquarters in Central London (hybrid working). This is an opportunity to work for an extremely successful, privately owned business where you will take ownership of driving forward their charitable foundation, which is at the heart of their business.
This role reports to the Director of Finance for their global charitable foundation and will take ownership for the accounting and financial planning for one region as well as supporting the charity in implementing improved financial processes. Working with both non-finance and finance stakeholders, both externally and internally, this role is expected to progress organically as the foundation looks to continue to grow its charitable partnerships.
Responsibilities include:
- Owning the financial planning cycles for 2 regions including budgeting and forecasting
- Management of the month-end and quarter-end reporting for the regions
- Partnering with various stakeholders based globally, ensuring all regions are working to the annual budgets
- Support the grant lifecycle from a finance perspective including managing payment schedules, grant proposals and grand budgets
- Supporting with developing robust financial controls across the foundation including ensuring they are working in compliance with SORP standards
- Continually looking at ways to drive change across the regions/foundation and working on a variety of global-wide projects
- Prepare presentations for senior management within the business
Skill set required
The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant with experience working for a charitable organisation, ideally a grant-making organisation. You will have experience managing the financial planning cycle including budgeting and forecasting. Experience working for a global charity is preferred, as is knowledge of NetSuite. Knowledge of the French language or a second European language is beneficial. You will have examples of where you have driven change and implemented more robust financial controls in order to be considered. The successful candidate will be proactive in nature, confident at communicating with senior stakeholders, and will have the ability to manage multiple priorities.
