Reed is working with a family-run home care and live-in care provider, supporting service users in South Cambridgeshire. They are seeking a dedicated Care Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the care services, which also includes respite care and domestic support for the Elderly.
The Care Manager will be pivotal to ensuring productivity, efficiency, and compliance with all relevant regulations, including CQC. The successful candidate will lead a team of 8, fostering a collaborative work environment and ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Monitor and improve productivity and efficiency within the care setting.
- Ensure compliance with employment law, CQC standards, health and safety guidance, and manage complaints and feedback effectively.
- Lead, manage, and direct a team of 8, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
- Engage in problem-solving and decision-making to enhance service delivery.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations, maintaining a high level of care and service.
- Handle the HR function, including recruitment and training, with support from an assistant.
- Support and oversee the Registered Manager and Safeguarding Lead in their duties.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification.
- Proven experience working in a care setting.
- Knowledge of HR practices and principles.
- Experience in managing an office and leading a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary of £36,000 per annum.
- Regular working hours, Monday to Thursday 08:30-16:30, Friday 08:30-16:00
