The Role:

Based on the role 3-4 days per week, your main responsibility will be to meet with new and existing customers regularly, exploring potential opportunities for growth with current customers, speaking with previous customers and getting our product in front of future customers. Along with the Inside Sales Team, you will provide continual support of their purchasing needs and communicate new/existing products, services and programs. Other responsibilities include:

  • Research and identify new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services – or new ways of reaching existing markets.
  • Take full ownership of the region’s specific sales budget and forecast.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to develop and carry out sales initiatives to increase sales.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers through account management that focuses on nurturing client relationships by support and growth.
  • Act as the liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring customer requirements are met.
  • Strategise internally by communicating opportunities, challenges and market trends affecting assigned accounts.
  • Formulate customer specific sales plans/strategies in line with accountable budgets, costing and prices.
  • Liaise with Sales and Marketing departments to set and implement strategies.

What will you bring to the role:

  • A highly motivated experienced sales professional with at least 3-5 years proven experience in a similar role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing the full sales cycle.
  • Must be based in the North and willing to travel at least 4 days per week.
  • Experience working with construction/end users.
  • Demonstrable experience in negotiating and meeting clients’ requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written as you will be conversing with senior level decision makers daily.
  • Must be team oriented with the ability to be flexible in pursuit of the larger goal.
  • Must be a ‘people-person’ – someone who is approachable, easy to talk to, and trusted.
  • A self-starter with the drive to exceed goals, overcome challenges and continuously develop.
  • A competent CRM user ideally with experience of using NetSuite.
