Business Development Executive – M&A Industry
This is an opportunity to join a growing International IT Group within a Business Development role in their M&A team. Along with a Head of Business Development you will take responsibility for co-ordinating the research and deal origination activities within the business to identify suitable targets for potential acquisition for the English speaking countries of the global group.
Key aspects of the role will be:-
– Identifying potential companies that fit into the clients’ niches and acquisition criteria both in the UK and Internationally
– Extending the pipeline of qualified M&A leads and getting in contact with target companies.
– Oversee the tracking of the deal origination process on the internal CRM system
– Liaising closely with the main internal M&A team
– Use marketing and CRM data to build relationships with key stakeholders / decision makers
Candidate profile:-
– Business Development specialist who likes working in a team but can also excel on their own
– Interest in or knowledge of IT and Software
– Commercial skills, sales ability and highly developed conversational skills in order to build strong relationships
– Basic knowledge of financial and annual reports and Excel understanding would be an asset
– Experience within (online) research
The business have strong growth plans so this is a key role within the business. The successful business development executive will have a business focused degree but will have at least a year of business developing within companies and ideally, but not essential, be experienced in deal origination within a Corporate Finance environment.
