Elevation Accountancy and Finance are excited to be working with a fantastic business in the Barnsley area as they look to recruit an established Bookkeeper into their team.

Some duties of the Bookkeeper will include:

  • Enter daily accounting transactions
  • Record and monitor fixed assets
  • Carry out and check bank reconciliations
  • Prepare supplier bank transfers
  • Monitor customer payments and reminders
  • Prepare, account for and file tax and social security returns
  • Prepare monthly reports and a documented review file
  • Participate in regulatory audits by providing information requested by auditors
  • Participate in the preparation of financial statements, tax returns and legal reports
  • Monitor accounting and tax law
  • Prepare and declare VAT 
  • Carry out invoicing, monitor invoices follow up
  • Monitor specific international payments
  • Monitor international regulatory developments for foreign payments

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience within an all round accounts role 
  • Good communication skills
  • Good with computer systems
