About the Company: Our client, a thriving 2-partner practice located just outside Reading, is expanding its team and recruiting for an experienced Accounts Senior/Supervisor. With a client-focused approach and a commitment to growth, the firm offers a friendly and supportive work environment.
Main Responsibilities: As an Accounts Senior/Supervisor, you will play a key role in the general practice accountancy firm. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Account preparation to Trial Balance.
- Handling accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks.
- Quarterly VAT returns, prepayments, and accruals.
- Preparation and review of bookkeeping.
- Completion of accounting and adjustment journals.
- Assisting with the preparation and production of monthly management accounts.
- Support with year-end statutory accounts.
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintenance of accurate financial records.
- Input of accruals, prepayments, and other journals.
- Fixed asset register management.
- Client meetings and staff supervision.
About You:
- AAT, ACA, or ACCA qualified or part-qualified.
- At least 3-4 years of practice background, including statutory accounts exposure.
- Experience with IRIS, Sage, Quickbooks, Kashflow, Xero, or similar software is desirable.
