My client is currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Specialist Level 1 for a 3-month contract paying £148 per day. This role is determined as Inside IR35. The first 5 days of the role will be on-site in Edinburgh for training. The remainder of the contract will feature a hybrid arrangement of 2 days on-site and 3 days WFH. Teams Interviews will be taking place on the 27th and 28th of January.
For this role there are two workstreams, one is BAU assisting accounts payable, and the second is a supplier master clean up. The successful candidate will work in Excel Cleanup and peoplesoft cleanup with step-by-step instructions. We are looking for someone with a good attitude and willingness to work alone and in a team and you will have a direct team lead who will be on hand to help.
What the role requires
Reviewing and approving all 3rd Party supplier invoices and non-purchase order payments
Reviewing and approving colleague travel & business reports
Initiate and manage all payment processes for supplier, vendor and partner payments
Initiate and manage travel and expense reimbursements or corporate cards
Ensure policies and procedures are clearly followed and communicated
Help to Train other colleagues to ensure that policies and procedures are followed
Complete ad-hoc requests in a timely manner
Contribute to development of new policies and procedures and revise as appropriate
Work Closely with internal and external customers incl. vendors, business partners etc
Ensure that deadlines are met throughout the month
Identify best practices for accounts payable processing

Availability to start on the first week of January
