NXTGEN have a fantastic opportunity for a Accountant to join an expanding and quick growing Chartered Accountants based in Wymondham. The successful Senior Accountant will be a key member of the Senior team for their Wymondham branch with the opportunity to progress upwards at your own desired pace. This position offers lots of flexibility and freedom in the role and will allow the successful Accountant to make the role their own and be a key driver in change, supporting with improving efficiencies and the service provided to clients. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of clients, providing an all round accountancy service to them including aiding with business advice, all accounts preparation duties, Tax returns as well as supporting junior staff members. There’s also the scope to progress to Director/ Partner level in the future once you’re established in this role, so if you’re looking to progress your career in a non corporate role, this could be a great move for you.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
– Preparation of client business accounts, providing commentary to support business owners and leaders with key decisions
– Manage client work loads, maintaining excellent client relationships at all times
– Preparation of tax computations for clients
– Support clients with self assessment tax returns
– Improve efficiencies across the office
– Review work of junior staff to ensure it is to the required standards
The successful candidate will ideally have experience managing a portfolio and will be ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) and looking to manage a portfolio of clients and keen to progress their career. Candidates will need to have prior experience gained within an accountancy practice and will be confident in a client facing role. A good knowledge of Cloud Accounting software is also advantageous.
