SRM Recruitment are pleased to be working with this market leading company based in Bedford to assist in the recruitment of their new Accounts Payable Specialist. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial transactioons, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining strong internal relationships.
Responsibilities:
Process supplier invoices promptly, including matching them to purchase orders and allocating to the correct accounts.
Verify invoice accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely payment processing.
Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
Handle vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships.
Ensure that all invoices are VAT compliant
Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements
Perform ongoing housekeeping activities to maintain clean ledgers.
Ensure timely processing of all activities to support the monthly/ quarterly/ annual close periods.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 2 years of direct experience in accounts payable activities.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Familiarity with accounting software.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous in verifying invoice details and reconciling accounts.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
