You will be working for a very successful business who are expanding and looking for a bookkeeper for there next stage of there journey. Well known within the area who are currently turning over circa 12 million a year. Reporting to the operations manager and the managing director, they are after a confident and experienced individual to help them within there finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry tasks with precision and accuracy
- Purchase Ledger / Sales Ledger transactions
- Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain financial records
- Prepare monthly reports, including profit and loss statements
- customer account inquiries and resolve any queries promptly
- Assist with payroll processing
- Support end-of-year reporting activities
- Prepare and file tax returns accurately and on time
- Additional responsibilities may include budgeting, forecasting, general administrative tasks, and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in data entry and accounting roles preferred
- Proficiency with SAGE software is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of bank reconciliation procedures
- Experience in preparing monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements
- Ability to manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work
- Proven ability to work well within a team environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
- Knowledge of payroll processes and end-of-year reporting requirements is advantageous.
Benefits
Salary – Depending on experience and qualification (30k to 40k)
Hours – 8.30 to 4.30 (can be flexible)
Office based
Holiday – 20 days plus bank hols
