Site Services Manager / Jarrow, Tyne and Wear / up to £50000 per annum

Our Client are currently seeking a dynamic and proactive individual to join our team as a Site Service Manager. This role is pivotal in managing and delivering on-site services to their industrial customer base, with a primary focus on filtration processes within our customer’s sites. Working closely with the Technical Director and Principal Engineer, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site and equipment surveys for both new and existing clients, producing drawings, sketches, and specifications as required.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to generate project costings, quotations, and proposals to secure new business and fulfil existing contracts.
  • Manage and expand a network of subcontractors, maintaining positive working relationships and ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Plan and oversee servicing and project work, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and profitability targets.
  • Perform servicing and maintenance work as needed, acting as a working supervisor for subcontract labour when required.
  • Generate planning schedules, risk assessments, method statements, and other documentation as necessary, ensuring professional communication with clients.
  • Foster site relationships at all levels to generate repeat business and additional servicing opportunities.
  • Uphold the company’s image and reputation on customer sites, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Continuously enhance technical understanding of customer assets and processes to provide tailored advice and proposals.
  • Maintain accurate records of work, costings, proposals, and expenses, providing monthly reporting to senior management.
  • Contribute to the development of a long-term strategy for on-site services.
  • Manage training and certification requirements for oneself and subcontractors to remain compliant with customer requirements.
  • Procure, maintain, and manage tools, equipment, vehicles, and PPE as necessary for each job, ensuring high standards of appearance.

Requirements:

  • Proactive attitude with a focus on customer service, quality, health, and safety.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK, including overnight stays and weekend work as needed.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse audiences.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Windows 10 and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with CAD, mechanical drawings, and process flow diagrams preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to run jobs independently.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to utilise company van for travel.
  • Ability to maintain strong leadership skills and supervise subcontractors effectively.
