GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-Time SENCO to join our team. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support the diverse needs of students and promote inclusive education within our schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the provision of special educational needs support across the school.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to identify and assess students with special educational needs.
  • Developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to meet the specific needs of SEN students.
  • Providing guidance and support to teaching staff to ensure the effective implementation of SEN strategies in the classroom.
  • Monitoring and reviewing the progress of SEN students, adjusting support plans as needed.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant SENCO qualification.
  • Proven experience working with students with special educational needs, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
