Role and Responsibilities
The overall purpose of this role is to ensure that accurate recordings are kept in regards to the stock holidays across the sites and confirmations of deliveries made. Be this direct to a customer or into stock. To ensure all administrative tasks regarding the physical delivery of fuel. Assisting with ensuring the planning aspect of the vehicle routing is also support.
Supporting the planners and Transport manager with legal compliance of Drivers and vehicle records and assisting with a smooth operation and transport department.
Daily tasks include
- Ensuring that customers are put at the heart of everything we do, promoting positive customer interactions at every opportunity
- Review process’s and implement any improvement plans to resolve any inefficiencies through the record keeping and confirmation of the transport department.
- Responsible for identifying or solving current or emerging risks or issues that may have a negative impact on customer experience and depot upkeep.
- Ensure a strong knowledge of industry best practice regarding delivery tasks
- Use business and industry knowledge to lead and influence changes
- Accountable for supporting the delivery of business projects when required
- Recognise key stakeholders in the change process and engage with them early to influence any changes
- Contribute to the leadership team by putting forward business ideas and sharing insights to aid the development of business plans
- Ensure that business performance is being achieved as expected and support any contingency plans where there is potential for these not being met
- Be a key contributor in the growth and profitability of the business by contributing to the wider teams’ targets through cross sales and introductions
- Always adhere to the rules and regulations of the relevant regulatory bodies
- Liaising with the sales team in relation to customer delivery requirements.
- With a focus on accuracy, attention to detail and time management
o Ensure deliveries are confirmed within 24 hours
o Chase through 3rd party orders to close off within 48 hours
o Record stock location and balancing of fuel products
o Update customer information with relevant notes provided back from the deliveries made
o Support with the planning of Boiler service and confirmation of jobs completed
o Book out relevant components and manage Boiler service component stock
- Carry out regular training when deemed appropriate and help others with their training needs where required
- Develop strong, ongoing relationships with suppliers, customers, and other departments
- Maintain high standards of personal conduct at all times
- Work well independently and have a positive impact when working as part of a team
- Assisting with phone calls through peak periods to ensure orders are taken and customer service is not compromised
