We are looking for a dedicated and reliable person to join our team as an Employment support worker.
Our client is seeking an individual with admin experience to provide assistance to a doctor teaching at a medical school in the Coventry area.
You will be required to work up to 20 hours per week, 4 hours per day at an hourly rate of £14.35 per hour, Monday to Friday.
Main Duties.
– To prepare interactive training material which will include, videos, images and references
– To assist with the visual elements of creating and formatting presentations and training materials.
– To assist with formatting and proofreading of documents, feedback forms and other material.
– To assist with the visual elements of training/presentation delivery. E.g. operating screenshare or PowerPoint, communicating visual cues from an audience.
– To assist with access to and orientation around unfamiliar or unusually busy buildings and places both on and off campus.
– To provide sighted assistance in accessing inaccessible literature such as paper based documents, last minute materials that aren’t screen reader accessible, describing images/event photos.
– To occasionally assist with notetaking in both remote and face to face meetings, providing an accessible typed or recorded copy of said notes when required.
– To organise and schedule the client’s diary to include student meetings and other events
– Any other duties that may be reasonably expected of the role.
– To assist in recruiting and training new facilitators
Skills and Qualities.
– An excellent communicator who enjoys working with people of all ages and backgrounds.
– A creative eye for detail, with the ability to both describe and edit documents
– Confident with computers and technology, with the ability to work with a wide variety of different systems.
– The ability to format visually appealing written correspondence across a range of MS Office applications. A good working knowledge of MS Teams is advantageous.
– A flexible, open-minded attitude.
– An interest in supporting the visually impaired, with a willingness to learn how to do so most effectively.
– Comfortable supporting in a fast pace, ever changing environment where workload will vary.
– Have a valid DBS and be able to provide proof (required);
Pay, Hours and Benefits
In return you will be paid £14.35 per hour, working hours are up to 20 hours per week.
