Are you a Qualified Accountant and an experienced Business Partner?
Our client, a market-leading international business with a reputation for innovation and quality, is seeking a commercially focused and talented Finance Business Partner to join the business. The Finance Business Partner will be part of the SMT and work closely with key stakeholders and decision makers to provide finance and business insight, influence strategy and provide active support in steering the business towards achieving Sales, Profit and Net Working Capital Targets.
The Finance Business Partner will be based on a hybrid basis at their site near Ipswich, Suffolk.
Your new role
The Finance Business Partner will:

  • Understand the business unit, product segment and regional market strategies and consult with key stakeholders and decision makers, to understand the different fields of the business
  • Work in an analytical and structural way, with the ability to set priorities and stick to them, process and present data for different hierarchy levels, proactively communicate and demonstrate enthusiasm and drive for continuous improvement including digitalisation and automation, think and act in an entrepreneurial way, being able to change own point of view, work independently in a virtual team across various locations
  • Provide active support in steering the business unit towards achieving sales, profit and Net Working Capital targets
  • Consulting for the Business Unit and with further stakeholders on the Suffolk Site
  • Margin control, including coordination of the BU margin planning process in business plan and current forecasts (BU-internally and with central functions)
  • Legal entity controlling for the entity and in collaboration with shared service functions, including planning of capital expenditures
  • Support steering of sales region "Europe and the segment in Asia Pacific" from a business unit perspective (shared with a colleague)
  • Contribute to an effective and efficient reporting landscape in the business unit
  • Carry out project calculations, simulations, business case analysis, and participate in project work
  • Critical review of performance indicators. Working on and with standards, alignment with stakeholders, tracking realisation
  • Working with extensive data and complex calculations
  • Business Storytelling, receiver-oriented communication, consulting with stakeholders without a finance background across several hierarchy levels
  • Driving continuous improvement activities
  • Active support in visualising performance indicators, leverage existing and future IT landscape, driving digitalisation
  • React on ad-hoc requests within own task portfolio

What you\’ll need to succeed
Qualifications

  • Degree in business administration, finance, business informatics or similar (master or bachelor)
  • Languages: Professional proficiency in English required, proficiency in German beneficial

  • Good written, presentation and IT skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and team player
  • Outgoing personality with excellent communication skills
  • Passionate and self-driven with an eye for detail
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Ability to act in an entrepreneurial way

IT Skills

  • Required MS Excel (Advanced),
  • Beneficial SAP Business Explorer,
  • Beneficial Oracle Hyperion Financial Management
