Supported Living – Learning Disabilities / Mental Health

Day working – based in Woking, Surrey.

Our client are a leading provider of high quality supported living services for vulnerable adults with Learning Disabilities and mental health needs and individuals recovering from substance/alcohol misuse and other complex needs. They are exceptionally proud of our person-centred approach and obsession with delivering excellence. The company is going through a further phase of rapid expansion and have a great opportunity for an experienced Manager to join the team in Woking, supporting with running of Supported Living services.

Key Features of the Role

  • Ensure the delivery of quality care – continually assessing our residents’ needs and wishes and developing the service to enhance their quality of life.
  • Direct staff management and ensuring the smooth running of the care home.
  • Take on accountability for the home – ensuring compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements; striving to achieve the best possible care rating and other external recognition of quality.
  • Ensure the safeguarding of service users and delivering optimum levels of care and support.
  • Manage the financial effectiveness of the home – maintain the budget of the home and seek to identify opportunities to increase profitability and reduce cost.
  • Take on an active leadership role – delivering the highest level of person centred care.
  • Follow a step down approach and drive team to deliver positive outcomes.
  • Work with the operational support team to organise rota’s and ensure effective fulfilment of shifts.
  • Developing your people – you will have the opportunity to build your team, supported by a centralised recruitment and training team, who will be recruiting and developing the right people for you to grow your business and through supporting their career development.

The individual:

You will have hands on teamleading/management experience in social care, preferably in an organisation that provides supported living within Learning Disabilities/mental health

– You will have experience of managing complex care/challenging behaviour
– You will possess excellent communication skills, be numerate and analytical
– You will have the ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines
– You MUST have a valid driving licence and access to a car
