SCHOOL RECEPTIONIST

Vida Education are recruiting for a school receptionist for a long term, potentially permanent role with a large secondary school in Blackpool.
The role , which is due to start with immediate effect, is a full time (8AM – 4PM), term time only position and has become available due to internal restructuring. The school is currently looking to fill the role permanently and this is a fantastic opportunity for someone to secure the position.

They are looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual to join their friendly team as a Receptionist, playing a vital role in creating a welcoming and efficient school environment.
What you’ll do:
- Be the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and staff, providing a warm and professional welcome.
- Answer telephone calls, manage inquiries, and direct individuals to the appropriate personnel.
- Process visitors, ensuring adherence to safeguarding procedures and maintaining school security.
- Operate the school switchboard and manage incoming and outgoing calls efficiently.
- Assist with administrative tasks, photocopying, and filing as required.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive working environment for all.
What you bring:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of people.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, able to prioritise tasks.
- Confidence and ability to use IT systems effectively, use of SIMS would be advantageous.
- A positive and proactive approach, with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, ideally within an educational setting (desirable).
