We are working with Manchester City Council to find a Finance Administrator on a temporary basis.

Length of role: Initially until end of April.
Hours: Full-time hours. 8:30-4. Flexi-time.
PAYE rate: £13.31 per hour.
Location: Hybrid. Office based at Manchester town hall for 2-3 days a week. Likely to be higher for initial induction period.

A basic DBS and BPSS check will need to be completed before a start date.

The team:

 The Social Care Payments Team sits within Corporate Finance, and processes payments to care providers for Adults and Children’s services.

Key Duties:

–          Receiving invoices and entering them onto the system.

–          Maintaining financial records, updating, analysing, and monitoring, financial and administrative systems.

–          Overseeing a caseload of providers and customers, with reference to invoices and purchase orders and internal staff guidance for the payment processes.

–          Responding to queries from a wide range of people, including both internal and external customers.

Experiences required:

–          Data entry experience.

–          Good Administrative experience.

–          Experience on an accounts payable team would be desirable but not essential.

–          Good IT and numeracy skills

–          Good communication skills and ability to build good relationships with stakeholders.

–          Organised and able to prioritise work and manage time to meet deadlines.
