What you will do

The role of the Contractor Sales Manager is to be focused on implementing the channel sales strategy within the Fire & Security business, with a multi solution sales team to drive installation and service growth (AMR) revenues within the contracting environment. Your primary role is coaching the sales team through planning, business development, accounts and pipeline management activities through informal and formal interactions to achieve channel objectives. Through focused sales activities of the sales team, executed with a consistent rhythm, the key objectives for the Sales Manager are pipeline growth and conversion improvement, to drive bookings growth against a defined sales target.

How you will do it

Through proactive planning and coaching the Contractor Sales Manager will develop and improve seller skills and rhythm across existing accounts and relationships together with identification of new business opportunities for development, for all enterprise solutions that the company can offer within the market. Using Salesforce.com, you will prepare for a monthly Personal Success Plan with Area General Manager. Reviewing prior month sales performance and objectives, current sales pipeline and agreeing key objectives for current month.

Are you able to demonstrate the following?

  • Previous success in Sales Management, specification sales, project sales or estimating within an M&E contractor network.

  • Experience of business-to-business technical solutions sales.

  • Excellent communication skills: ability to use resources and engage operational departments to ensure high levels of customer service.

  • Ability to develop and expand relationships through an organisation.

  • Ability to build successful plans and bring teams together for mutual benefit.

  • Demonstrated Commercial and contractual awareness.

What we look for

The Contractor Sales Manager will hold sales management experience and have in-depth knowledge of the complexities of contractor selling. You will have experience in the fire and security industry and will be experienced in managing all performance, activity, planning and sales processes through Salesforce.com. You will have the ability to coach sellers and identify and qualify leads. You will have exceptional communication and reporting skills with the ability to collaborate across business channels where required.

Ideal candidate will have:

Existing relationships with M&E contractors and main contractors. Ability to accurately forecast in a contracting environment. Understanding and managing expectations within a matrix organisation. Understanding and experience of the contracting market, along with the buying process aligned to this.
