A new and exciting position has arisen for an experienced and accomplished Management Accountant working for a fantastic company located in the leisure and entertainment industry situated near West London.

Working within a small team you will be responsible for helping to prepare accurate monthly management accounts and annual financial statements for statutory audit. You will have supervision of the accounts team to ensure all financial transactions are processed and recorded in an accurate and timely manner.

This will be predominantly an office based position with the occasional flexibility to work hybrid.

Key skills required will include:

  • Preparation of timely month-end management accounts
  • Preparation of timely statutory accounts (consolidation required) and liaising with auditors
  • Management and posting of journals, accruals and prepayments
  • VAT returns and bank reconciliations
  • Providing timely and accurate financial information to budget holders and senior managers
  • Balance Sheet maintenance and control, including pro-actively investigating reconciling items
  • Control and maintain an accurate fixed asset register
  • Capital expenditure project cost and financial expenditure monitoring
  • Involvement in the production of the annual budgeting
  • Assist in the cash flow management
  • Review account transactions to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain effective internal financial controls across the Club reporting discrepancies

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Fully qualified or near qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA with demonstrable experience (minimum 3 years)
  • Have experience of management accounts, budgeting, consolidation and statutory accounts preparation
  • Experience with Sage 200 would be advantageous
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines
  • This role will require an exceptional level of attention to detail, excellent written and spoken English.
  • Excellent Excel skills (Vlookups, Pivot Tables & Formulae)
  • Must be a flexible, pro-active and a self-starter able to work on own initiative and without close supervision
  • Leading, developing and reviewing the systems to improve timeliness, accuracy, effectiveness, efficiency, and value for money
