We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Care Worker to provide exceptional support and assistance to our Service Users. As a Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals who require specialized care and support. Your primary responsibility will be to promote independence, dignity, and well-being among the service users in your care, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Responsibilities:
Provide person-centered care
Assist with daily living activities
Promote independence
Monitor health and well-being
Emotional and social support
Implement care plans
Safeguarding
Participate in training and development
Qualifications and Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar care role, preferably working with adults with learning disabilities.
Knowledge and understanding of learning disabilities, their impact on individuals, and appropriate care approaches.
Compassion, empathy, and patience to support individuals with diverse needs and challenges.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with individuals, their families, and a multi-disciplinary team.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic care environment.
Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations, safeguarding procedures, and confidentiality guidelines.
A commitment to promoting the rights, dignity, and well-being of Service Users
Relevant certifications or training in care, such as NVQ/Diploma or equivalent, would be advantageous.
