Banking – London – Group Accountant Manager – 12-month FTC
Work type: Contract
Hybrid: 2/3 days a week in office
Reports into: Financial Controller
The Group Finance team supports the Group by providing consolidated Group financial information which enables senior management in their decision-making processes for the benefit of the Group as a whole.
Key Accountabilities:
Completion of the year and year end stat accounting packs
Ensuring all financial and non-financial data used to the financial returns has been reconciled
Ensure monthly schedules are prepared and checked for all key items in the financial statements
Maintaining finance policies and processes ensuring compliance with company policies and good internal control is in place
Lead the management with external auditors on the stat accounts
Preparation of Monthly Management accounts of the group
Review financial reporting deliverables in order to identify and implement improvements to improve control and utilise system capabilities
Maintaining company records, processing payments and routine stat returns
Cash flow management and forecasting
Essential experience required:
Fully qualified accountant – ACA – Preferred
Accounting from within a bank
International Financial standards – IFRS 9
Experience of managing staff
Significant experience of leading the production and delivery of financial reporting
