Milk Education are looking for ambitious specialist psychology graduates and students to work as teaching assistants in SEND schools and SEMH settings across Manchester . We are looking to recruit enthusiastic graduates with an interest in a career where they can help to empower the learning of children with SEND or SEMH needs. The role involves supporting children with varying learning abilities and with special educational or social, emotinal and mental health needs. These students require additional support and some require personal care. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to pursue a career in education psychology or support children in their career following their Psychology degree.
Responsibilities:
- Working with and providing support to children with SEND or SEMH
- Experience of working with children or adults in the last 2 years
- The ability to build rapport with the children, supporting their social, emotional and behavioural needs and acting as a mentor
What you need to apply:
- Currently studying or hold a Psychology Degree
- DBS on the update service (or happy to apply for one)
- A passion for working with young people
- Great communication skills
- Ideally be able to drive
