Taskmaster Resources, working with the University since August 2014 are looking to recruit 2 experienced and highly-organised Administrators for 3 months work. Immediate start available and the contract may be extended.

Job Purpose

To assist in the delivery of a high-quality and responsive administrative service in support of accreditation, quality assurance/enhancement, and governance activities across the School.

Duties

1. To provide a professional, customer-focused front-line initial response and information service to students, colleagues, and external parties in all aspects of administration undertaken by the wider Quality and Governance Team.

2. To provide a comprehensive and timely administrative service in support of all quality and governance-related activities, including assisting with pre/post-meeting tasks, the preparation and issuing of routine correspondence and paperwork, taking notes of meetings, and ensuring the maintenance of accurate records in accordance with relevant University, School, and external requirements.

3. To understand how regulations, policies and procedures work within the remit of the role and to assist with the provision of procedural advice and guidance to colleagues, students, and external parties, ensuring appropriate escalation when required, signposting to other sources of support and information as appropriate, and scheduling appointments for students to meet with staff as necessary.

4. In liaison with relevant colleagues, to facilitate the moderation of assessments and student work, including liaison with internal and external moderators, the maintenance of accurate records, and the dissemination of outcomes to relevant parties.

5. To support the production, maintenance and publication of accurate course and module handbooks, in accordance with University and School requirements, and in liaison with Course/Module Leaders.

6. To support the preparations for internal and external audits and reviews, including for Ofsted and accreditation bodies.

7. To assist with the reporting of any faults/issues to Estates or relevant departments, ensuring information is logged and progress is monitored as appropriate.

8. To contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the School through:

• a professional, collegiate, and customer-orientated approach to service delivery;

• positive participation at relevant meetings and working groups;

• continuous monitoring of the service provided at an operational level and making recommendations for improvement as appropriate;

• collaboration and liaison with external contacts, students, and colleagues throughout the School and University, acting as a point of contact where appropriate;

• the maintenance of an appropriate working knowledge of other areas of the team in order to provide cover and continuity of service as required; and,

• the support of School events and activities, such as graduation.

9. To undertake any other duties pertinent to the grade of the post that might be requested at any time.
