As the Operations & Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in steering the company towards a more standardised range of products. You will be responsible for overseeing both the design team and the workshop, ensuring seamless collaboration between engineering and production teams.
The Operations & Engineering Manager duties and responsibilities include:
- You will provide visionary leadership to the design and workshop teams, promoting a culture of innovation and efficiency.
- Lead and mentor the design and workshop teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination between design and production departments.
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from design concept to manufacturing, ensuring timely and cost-effective production.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
- Work closely with the engineering team to develop standardised designs for key products.
- Collaborate with the production team to streamline manufacturing processes and reduce costs.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent, with a preference for mechanical engineering.
- Proven experience in managing both engineering and production teams.
- Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle, from design through to manufacturing.
- Commercial acumen with the ability to balance technical excellence with business objectives.
