Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting for an experienced Design Engineer to join an industrial equipment manufacturer facility based in Huddersfield.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this Design Engineer will work in a small team handling design projects from point of sale through to installation and commission.
Responsibilities of the Design Engineer will include:
To design industry leading aftermarket and OEM
To travel to customer’s sites (Worldwide) to measure client’s machines and to discuss their application requirements, creating a design specification from which to work.
To be responsible for designing a full system detailing parts and creating Bill of Materials (BOM’s) to meet agreed specifications.
To oversee and provide technical support during the manufacturing facility to ensure that the product meets specifications/the high quality demanded.
To provide installation advice and guidance, assisting in the process and troubleshooting.
We are looking for experienced Design Engineers with the below skills and experience:
Good knowledge of machined and fabricated components with some knowledge of pneumatic systems.
Degree or apprenticeship trained in a relevant field
Strong design background in producing manufacturing drawings
Experience of using Autodesk Inventor or similar.
Experience of using FAE Analysis
Knowledgeable of MRP system
Comfortable working with tools (particularly basic metrology equipment) offsite at customer premises around the world under time pressure.
