Agile Trainer / Consultant – £600 PD Outside IR35 – Worthing (Hybrid) – Contract

Our utilities client is currently seeking an Agile Trainer / Consultant to join their team on a contact for 3 months initially. This will be a hybrid role and you will be required to come into the office in Worthing 1-2 days a week. This role will be to support the business wide roll out of Agile, creating and delivering training in accordance to the clients Playbook to multiple roles and level of seniority. They are looking for a Scrum Certified Coach/guide/trainer to work with PMO and Programme Managers/Project Managers/Scrum Masters to mobilise their first Agile projects across our business.

Responsibilities:

  • Has the ability to influence and guide multiple Stakeholders across the Business and IT.
  • The Agile coach/trainer will help technical teams to improve their agile practices in test driven development, test automation, working practices, environment set up and code reviews.
  • Help to establish communication guidelines that help the teams be more productive.
  • Assesses the organisation and provides clarity around the right Agile scaling methodology.
  • Communicates the required mindset and practicing changes to truly help up succeed to become a agile organisation across the business so that we promote a collaborative and successful rollout of new practices.
  • Use their understanding of the Roles and Responsibilities to support the team as we mobilise IT and Business, especially supporting the Product Owner, Sponsor through their role.
  • Facilitate and enable guidance to the teams through the daily stand ups and scrum events.
  • Drives the complexities to deliver the transformational changes required to deliver success criteria and support the Agile squads.
  • JIRA Tooling to support deliver and reporting. Strong Technical background to support the rollout of the new process.
  • Mentors the Agile Squads through the transformational changes.
  • Reporting on Velocity, DOD, Burnup/down etc

About you:

  • To coach/guide/train, work with PMO and Programme Managers to mobilise our first three Agile projects access our readiness.
  • Introducing Governance techniques and shaping Planning and Product backlogs, EPICS, User Stories.
  • Understanding of the Roles and Responsibilities required and support the team as we mobilise IT and Business, especially supporting the Product Owner, Sponsor through their role.
  • Tooling – JIRA expertise.
  • Reporting on Velocity, DOD, Burnup/down etc
  • Working with Scrum Master/Dev team through the process, sprints, retrospectives etc.
  • Creating and deploying Training material along with monitoring effectiveness
  • Demonstration of successful Agile initiation and delivery of agile delivery.
  • Able to act as a single point of reference for Agile delivery
  • Ability to present and advise at senior management level
