Are you an experienced and dynamic payroll professional looking for a global challenge? Do you have a passion for delivering best-in-class payroll services to a diverse and high-performing workforce? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

Our client are a global firm, and we are looking for a Global Head of Payroll to join their team. In this role, you will lead a global team of 20+ payroll experts, and work closely with the senior management team to set the strategic direction for the global payroll process. You will also oversee the design and implementation of global policies, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and accuracy.

As the Global Head of Payroll, you will:

  • Define and execute the global payroll strategy and vision, aligning with the business objectives and values.
  • Manage the daily operations of all payroll activities across multiple countries, delivering a high-quality service to all employees within agreed KPIs and SLAs.
  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement, leveraging best practices, technology, and automation.
  • Lead compliance and risk management within payroll operations, ensuring adherence to local regulations and tax laws, and implementing effective controls and remediation actions.
  • Oversee and lead the digital transformation of the global payroll process, developing and implementing system.
  • Build and develop a strong global payroll team, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and innovation.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with 3rd party payroll providers, ensuring optimal performance, contract management, and service delivery.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Certified Payroll Professional (CIPP) designation is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in payroll management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of local payroll regulations and tax laws across multiple countries.
  • Experience managing large-scale payroll operations, preferably in a global organization.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and recommend effective solutions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
