Location: On various sites, nationwide, paid travel & accommodation
Salary: £18-£19 per hour depending on experience plus overtime and weekends.
Our client is a multi-disciplinary engineering company specialising in delivering bulk material handling projects across a range of industries.
A great opportunity has arrived to join a growing vibrant company as they are looking to appoint Steel Erectors/Riggers for their installation and maintenance division.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow instructions/task set by Superiors.
- Install Plant and equipment/steelwork to drawings provided.
- Report all Non-conformances to superiors.
- Maintain a strong Health and Safety culture within site team.
- Productivity, responsible for ensuring you work effectively and safely.
- Responsible for maintaining high standards / level of work / Quality of work.
- Report daily activities.
- Complete / maintain onsite safety hazard assessments. POWRA.
- Participate in safety / incident investigations.
- Inspect and measure completed works.
- Organise equipment and plant for your tasks.
- Manage own performance to meet requirements of your role.
- Maintain excellent relationship with internal and external customers.
- Promote positive working relationships.
- Flexible in approach to work and adaptable to change, good role model.
- Good attention to detail and standard of work.
- Work well in a team and on own initiative.
- To maintain a smart appearance and to act in a professional manner at all times when representing the company.

- Assembly and erecting of steelwork.
- Meeting with all H&S requirements.
- The ability to read and understand General Arrangement drawings.
- Site measuring, setting out and working to levels.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of safety procedures.
Role Requirements
- NVQ in Steel Erecting / moving loads preferred, NPORS, OPITO recognised.
- CSCS Card required.
- Possess formal qualifications within a relevant discipline (Apprenticeship, NVQ/BTEC/City & Guilds Level 3, HNC, HND etc.)
- 2+ years’ ideally with experience in heavy engineering working on conveyors, quarrying, cement, steelworks.
