Shift Patterns: 37.5hrs a Week guaranteed – Full Time, Days/Nights permanent
Information about the Role:
Working as a Care Team Leader at Holme Lodge your duties will include the following:
· Your role will involve supervising and inspiring a team of dedicated Support Workers.
· Administer medication, conduct assessments.
· Ensure that care plans are kept up to date.
· Respect the dignity and preferences of the people we support as well playing your own part in establishing a home where everyone feels safe and confident to live their best life.
· Be involved and deliver daily activities to the people we support.
· Manage and help organise the duty rota.
· Carrying out duties as requested by senior management.
Information about the Service:
We specialise in supporting people who have varying needs as a result of physical and long term neurological conditions including cerebral palsy, epilepsy, head/brain injury, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson’s disease, speech impairment, spina bifida and hydrocephalus. We work directly with each individual to develop a personalised support programme based on their needs, wishes and aspirations. This includes personal care, health & wellbeing programmes, rehabilitation, community engagement, enablement, volunteering and activities.
Necessary Experience or Qualifications to work as a Team Leader:
· NVQ 3 or above in Health and Social Care.
· Ideally 6 month or more experience as a Senior Healthcare Assistant / Senior Support Worker / Team Leader or Deputy Manager in Mental Health.
· Passionate about making a difference in someone else’s life.
· Good communication skills.
· Able handle sometimes challenging situations.
· Fun, energetic and able to build relationships with many different people.
