Following a sustained period of growth and success, Medlock Partners are delighted to be assisting our client, a hugely profitable, rapidly expanding European Service group based in the Wigan area as they look to recruit an ambitious Senior Management Accountant.
Reporting to the European Financial Controller, the Senior Management Accountant will be responsible for monthly financial information for the European subsidiaries, prepare monthly cash flow statements for the UK and Europe and deliver monthly reporting packages to the corporate accounting group on a timely basis.
Responsibilities:
* Build the relevant consolidation models on the Company’s reporting systems and to continually improve accounting processes.
* Documenting procedures for all major business functions. Conduct and document processes of all major business functions at key facilities and periodically update narratives to reflect changes in procedure or personnel.
* Business analysis and reviews of the Group’s operations in the UK & Europe, present to Senior Management Team to aid commercial decision making process.
* To assist in the production of Board papers and reports using MS Excel and Powerpoint.
* To participate in the Budget setting processes for the EU entities.
* To carry out ad-hoc projects as and when requested from the CFO and European Controller.
Person Specification:
* Qualified accountant with experience of producing monthly management accounts, conducting business analysis and review projects and producing board papers and reports.
* Strong commercial acumen and experience of business decision making to add value to organisations is essential.
* Bespoke Databases and a good user level of Microsoft Excel/Powerpoint
* Excellent attention to detail, proactive and the ability to take responsibility.
* Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and interface with internal/external stakeholders.
