A MedComms agency based in Beaconsfield is looking for an Account Director for its rapidly growing, successful business. The role is more senior than a typical AD as it requires mastery of programme delivery, a good understanding of MedComms strategy, and programme design as well as the ability to handle clients professionally and tactfully.

The main purpose is to lead and manage all aspects involved in the delivery of client projects/programmes; manage and maximise revenue and profit from existing projects/programmes and help identify new business opportunities from other brand teams amongst existing clients

Brief synopsis of the qualities required for the role:-

Account development

– Clear understanding of the brand and medical education strategy, key supporting data and key messages, as well as that for key competitors

– Help lead the programme development/proposal process, ensuring that these robustly reflect the agreed brand and medical education objectives, and where possible provide an integrated programme that also provide synergies with other client communication projects/programmes

– Attend tactical planning meetings

– Attend brand strategy meeting with Director (if appropriate)

– Effective ‘upward’ management of Directors and programme leads where applicable, ensuring timely and planned involvement to ensure maximum added value

– Monitor team resourcing for projects/programmes and proactively highlight any shortfalls or surplus with the Directors

Team leadership

– Lead and support all team members (including Directors) to ensure agreed responsibilities are delivered to agreed timelines

– Plan/lead regular team planning meetings in relation to projects/programmes
