Goods In Team Member

Are you looking for a new challenge in a Warehouse environment? Our client is looking for Goods In Team Member based in Hull.

This role provides the opportunity for an ambitious warehouse operator to be part of an exciting and fast pace environment where you will be:

  • Loading and unloading all types of vehicles delivering on site
  • Sample goods upon receipt and deliver to QC labs
  • Pick and dispense products for production in FIFO order
  • Ensure stock integrity and location accuracy
  • To ensure a high standard of service to production
  • Load finished products
  • Pick and supply production lines with packaging / raw material components using hand scanners
  • To be multi skilled across multiple functions to be able to support other areas.

What will you be doing as part of the Goods In team:

    • Performs goods-in checks on stock/trailers on arrival to ensure that the correct quantity has arrived, and materials are in good condition.
    • Booking stock onto SAP accurately
    • Works with planning team to schedule deliveries to meet factory demand.
    • Works with planning team to co-ordinate deliveries from external warehouse.
    • Transport stock from location to location within the warehouse.
    • Use of Bar-code Scanners to correctly transfer/locate stock on SAP.
    • Transfer of materials from wooden to plastic pallets and splitting mixed lot pallets.
    • Labelling of raw materials and packaging components.
    • Sampling of raw materials and packaging components
    • Performs simple ID checks on materials – Using Raman/NIR/FTIR scanner.
    • Transport of samples to QC drop off point following rapid ID
    • Ensuring all activities are done in accordance with procedures.

Qualifications and skills needed as a Goods In Team Member:

  • Ability to undertake NVQ based qualifications
  • Counterbalance license (RTITB) PPT licence and reach truck licence preferred but not essential

Experience needed as a Goods In Team Member:

  • Experience of working within a similar background and/or third party Logistics environment
  • Knowledge and experience of working in a regulated environment
  • Health and safety qualifications preferred but not essential (IOSH, First aid at work)
