- Position Available: SEN Teaching Assistant/Behaviour Mentor We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a SEN Teaching Assistant/Behaviour Mentor. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting students with SEN and challenging behaviors, fostering their academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN
- Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans
- Support classroom activities, ensuring an inclusive and positive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff
- Utilise effective behavior management strategies to promote a positive and respectful atmosphere
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant experience in working with children with SEN or challenging behaviours
- Understanding of various SEN conditions and their impact on learning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s development
- Relevant qualifications or willingness to undertake training
