Working for: Team Brain Injury Support
Shift Pattern: 2 days per week Tuesday and Sunday – 1pm till 7pm (12hrs per week) with possibility of more shifts if needed Pay rate: £13.00 during the week – £13.50 weekend per hour (Weekly Pay) Location: Seaham Unfortunately we cannot provide VISA sponsorshipand we do not hire on a relocation basis, you must currently be based in/around the Seaham area and able to commute.
This is a permanent role.
We’ve got an exciting opportunity for the right person to work with a gentleman living in Seaham. He is an intellectual man who appreciates support workers looking past his Motor Neurone Disease and taking part in conversation with him. This client enjoys listening to podcasts, politics, world affairs, history, nature and partial to a comedy. We’re looking for a like-minded caring individual to join our close-knit team to help support him in leading the life he wants to live.
Key Responsibilities
Support Workers cover all manners of support for others – from companionship and days out, to personal care and housekeeping. At Team Brain Injury Support, you’ll be working with someone living with complex care needs and receive fully paid, on the job training. So, whether you’re an experienced support worker or completely new to the sector, you’ll have the opportunity to build your skills in a safe and trusted environment.
- Support with all facets of daily living
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment
- Ensure the individual’s safety and well-being at all times
- Communicate effectively with the individual and other team members
- Maintain confidentiality and respect privacy
- Adhere to care plans and guidelines provided
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Ability to effectively communicate with individuals requiring care
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
- Empathy, patience, and compassion when interacting with individuals in need of support
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet varying care needs
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Willingness to undergo additional training and development as required
