Accounts Receivable and Payable Specialist Wanted!

Are you a finance professional with a knack for numbers and a passion for precision? We are seeking an Accounts Receivable and Payable Specialist to manage our day-to-day accounting needs. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of financial transactions, ensuring timely payments to suppliers, and managing customer invoices across a number of markets including the UK, German and Poland markets. Your keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills will be crucial in reconciling accounts and preparing financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable

  • Set-up of customers and credit checks.
  • Set up Jobs, Work Orders and Variation Orders in Spectrum and/or Netsuite.
  • Ensure Purchase Orders and other documents required for invoicing prior to the project being set up.
  • Raising invoices to clients including project work, work orders and service contracts, and the uploading of invoices.
  • Dealing with VAT and withholding tax queries.
  • Dealing with client invoice queries.
  • Credit Control, allocation of remittances, send statements, etc.

Accounts Payable

  • Setting up new suppliers / sub-contractors on the company accounting system.
  • Accept and process invoices from suppliers and sub-contractors.
  • Processing payments.
  • Control supplier and company approval limits and ensure these are always adhered to.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and dealing with queries.

Job Skills Requirements: 

  • Proficient computer skills including familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Excellent numeracy skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Excellent manager of staff and a proven track record of leading professional, efficient, happy teams.
  • NetSuite experience would be advantageous.

Qualifications:

  • Level / GCSE Maths / English required.
  • Accountancy qualification or study towards one would be an advantage.
