Finance IT Support Analyst

The opportunity
Weâve an amazing opportunity to join our dynamic Finance team here at QBE on a full time, permanent basis as a Finance IT Support Analyst. Weâre looking for someone who is keen to progress within financial industry and understands ITIL and AGILE methodologies.
In this role, youâll be supporting the Finance team in improvement of manual processes and applying your expertise of project management. Reporting to our Global Finance Systems Manager, youâll be partnering with wider business, accounting and IT to drive best practice sharing, process efficiencies and enhanced controls.
Your new role
- Contribute to the development of teamâs business plan to maximize productivity and performance
- Proactively partner with members of the Finance department and learn about the business to translate business requirements into working solutions
- Project manage solutions, prioritize and understand when to escalate issues to achieve the required outcome and timeframes
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including internal and external auditors, to ensure service delivery meets customer expectations
- Manage, execute, and streamline the processes necessary to support the financial close across monthly, quarterly and annual cycles
- Support the department to meet planning cycles and reporting deadlines by coordinating efforts across multiple teams to support processing of required data
- Provide first line support, identify root causes and manage the resolution of incidents and service requests through Service Now
- Coordinate Change Requests and support system related project work with third party suppliers, working with the project team to ensure projects are delivered on time and in accordance to business requirements
- Assist in the production of accurate financial returns required by internal and external bodies and regulators to meet reporting deadlines
About you
Youâve capability to effectively prioritise your workload and communicate with stakeholders at various levels. Other skills youâll need:
- Problem solving skills
- Experience of building efficiency upon existing processes, and creating and implementing new processes
- Ability to explain business systems and information to wider function and business
- Team player skills with the ability to work collaboratively and develop successful working relationships
- Desire to gain knowledge and skills
- Analytical insight with the ability to extrapolate from limited or complex data
- ITIL qualification (desirable)
