Your new role
In the role of 3rd Line IT Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for providing world-class service to both internal and external customers.
This will be driven by your expertise and will require you to support the wider team in training and knowledge sharing.
You will be pivotal in planning and delivery of successful technical resolutions to complex customer issues and ensuring sustained service across a wide range of products and solutions.
Lead from the front with Continuous Improvement processes and complex decision making to balance customer and business needs.
Take charge when engaging and escalating complex issues with 3rd party vendors for advanced troubleshooting.
You must be available when required to work out of hours either on an overtime or on-call basis.
Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that you are able to attain Security Clearance.
What you’ll need to succeed
Intermediate / advanced certification or equivalent experience in at least 3 of the following:
- Microsoft Azure (Administrator, Security)
- Windows Server Operating System Management (W2008R2-Win2022) including Active Directory
- Certificate Services
- DHCP Server / DNS Server
- VMware
Ideally, you will have some experience in several areas listed below:
- Microsoft Azure (Architect)
- System Center Operation Manager
- Anti-malware: Web & email filtering and antivirus protection
- Citrix Virtual Desktop and Apps
- Microsoft Exchange including Microsoft 365 integration
- SAN Technologies
- Server Technologies
- Automation Technologies e.g. PowerShell
- Working in an ITIL environment or hold at least ITIL Foundation certification
